Xperi has acquired Vewd Software. The acquisition establishes Xperi as a leading independent streaming media platform through its TiVo brand and the largest independent provider of Smart TV middleware globally.
The Vewd for Automotive in-vehicle content aggregation and streaming solution has now been integrated with Renesas’ R-Car H3e and R-Car M3e SoCs, providing another platform for automotive OEMs and Tier-1 vendors wishing to bring streaming experiences to the car.
